Hans Sitt short biography

Regarded during his lifetime as the leading violin teacher, a German violinist, pedagogue and composer, Hans Sitt was appointed professor of Lepzig Conservatory. Sitt was also a conductor of many orchestras in France, Austria and Germany. Sitt wrote 6 concertos for violin and orchestra and several chamber music compositions. Sitt orchestrated Grieg's Norwegian Dances.
