Pablo de Sarasate short biography

A great Spanish violinist and composer, Pablo de Sarasate was a student in Paris. Sarasate started his triumphal career as a violin virtuoso at age 15. Sarasate performed in recital and with the major orchestras all over Europe as well as in North and South America. The most distinguished composers wrote specially for Sarasate, including Bruch, Joachim and Wieniawski. Sarasate's popular Carmen Fantasy is regarded as one of the most frequently performed pieces in a violin repertoire. Sarasate’s 4 volumes of Spanish Dances include world-famous Zigeunerweisen.
