Enrique Granados short biography

Universally recognized as one of Spain’s most important composers, Enrique Granados studied with Charles de Bériot in Paris. After coming back to his native Barcelona, Granados published his Danzas españolas. This composition earned him an instant international respect. Granados music is mainly based on the Spanish folk songs and is fundamentally Romantic. Granados has been called the Spanish Chopin.
