Dancla short biography
At age 9, Charles Dancla played for Rode, who was immediately and deeply impressed by the child prodigy. Rode introduced Dancla to the most influential musicians in Paris including Cherubini, the director of the Paris Conservatoire, and Kreutzer. A prolific composer, Dancla was awarded many prizes for his string quartets. Dancla is considered one of the best representatives of the classical French violin school.
